Marcella Whillans

Marcella Anne Whillans (Gallant) was born and raised in the Acadian village of Egmont Bay, Prince Edward Island. She left the "Island" over 50 years ago and settled in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, on the shores of the mighty Lake Superior. Much of her art reflects the majestic Northern Ontario landscapes, but her East Coast roots have not been forgotten and often shine through.

On her first time entering the NOAA annual juried exhibition, she had her painting, "Once in a Blue Moon", accepted as part of the 58th NOAA Annual Touring Exhibition.  Her painting also won the Edna Hosking Memorial Award.
