  • AAS had successful two painting city-wide draw to build up AAS finances which had become depleted

  • 43rd Annual NOAA Juried Painting Exhibition opened Sept. 21, 1999 in Timmins – jurors Joan Ferneyhough and Dr. Anita Spadafore - Richard Lebel, Marilyn Mills and Zoey Wood-Salomon accepted.
  • Doris Foster opened home for painting get-togethers and to “Talk Art”

Fran Pond passed away in August 1999 at age 66 - Substantial donations were received by the Algoma Art Society in Memory of Fran Pond (at her request) - funds were used for numerous NOAA and Fall Festival of Art Awards in her name and a Society Art Exhibition.
